There are right and wrong ways to go about doing things. Understand that for any issue or problem you might have, we are more than willing to hear you out! We want to help! We want to fix things!
Yelling at us, insulting us or our server, and/or creating drama, though, does not motivate us into wanting to help you.
What we need from you to help make sure problems are fixed as quickly and painlessly as possible are the following:
1. PATIENCE
Not all problems are going to be quick or easy to fix. Some will take time.
After you report something, please also then give us time to deal with it. Thanks!
2. FOLLOW PROTOCOLS
A. For serious problems with a fellow player, SEND A MESSAGE TO STAFF. Do NOT try to handle it yourself, or try to make it the business of the entire shard. WE WILL HANDLE IT. To directly message staff, you can use an in-game page, a direct message on discord, and/or a PM on the forums to myself or any staff members. Problems with players need to be handled privately.
(Basically, we assume that you would not want your dirty laundry aired all over the server and forums, so it’s required that you not do that to another player either. Many misunderstandings and problems can be talked out and resolved without having to involve or create shard drama over it.)
Understand that sometimes the solution to personal problems between players is for those players to not play together, and to remember to remain civil during public events. This is especially true when one or both parties are unwilling to bend or compromise. If none of the shard rules were broken, official shard consequences are not warranted.
B. Problems with the server, make a public post on the forums in the Bug Report section. This way, everyone is aware of the problem, and if someone else has a fix, they can share it. If someone else had more information about the problem, they can share that too. Communication is important!
C. Discord/FB Group Page/Website: If it’s a problem with how the sites are actually working, we can’t fix that. You need to report it to directly to the owner.
If, however, it’s a problem with someone in our discord channel, or on one of our web pages report it to staff, listing who the problem is with, what the problem is, and giving specific dates and times if possible.
If the problem is with any posts not being PG rated in the General tab on Discord, or something inappropriate being posted on our website or FB page, the exact date, who posted it, and what was said, needs to be reported to staff, so that it can be searched for and taken care of.
3. SCREENSHOTS ARE YOUR FRIEND
If someone is doing ANYTHING that can and should be reported, TAKE A SCREENSHOT.
This keeps it from becoming a 'he said, she said' situation. We will always do what we can to be fair, and to treat everyone fairly, which also means if we don't happen to be there to witness something, we need your help to make sure the matter can be resolved in a timely manner. Screenshots are just one of the ways to do this!!!
4. ROLE PLAY
As we have stated, YOU are the author of YOUR character, and NOTHING happens to your character without your permission.
So what do you do, if roleplay is taking place, and everyone is caught up in the moment, and things start to take a turn in a direction that you are not comfortable with?!?
YOU SPEAK UP, RIGHT THEN! You say PAUSE! STOP! HALT! (Doing so in party chat or over discord if possible, preferring to keep it as OOC chatter instead of your character screaming its head off.)
You then have the option of saying you are not comfortable with where the RP is going,
and either talking it out with those present,
OR just excusing yourself from the RP.

And let me clearly state now, that NO ONE has the right to judge someone else for feeling uncomfortable with any RP. You don’t know what someone has gone through in real life, and role play is supposed to be fun, not force someone to face possibly traumatic memories or remind them of hard times, or make them think of our beloved game as anything other than fun. They have a right to feel how they feel, and it WILL be respected.
